Dressing a client for a photo shoot is always a fun way to spend a day. Shoots happen for many different reasons. Sometimes the shots are used for press releases, business branding like a book or podcast cover or even casting photos. Either way, it’s our opportunity to have fun & dress the client as their very ‘best selves’.
The process starts with creative conversations about the reason for the shoot and the looks/vibe the client is hoping to create. I then go away and pop a Pinterest board together so I can visually get a sense of the way the shoot will look & feel.
Once agreed with the client, next stop is curating the looks. I’m am lucky to be able to work with some amazing brands and retailers that give me access to their collections for photoshoots. Sometimes that includes pieces that haven’t been released on general sale yet, which feels even more exciting. Once we have the clothes and accessories secured & tried on, we are ready to rock.
I work wirh an amazing team of hairdressers, make up artists and of course the wonderful James Melia who captures all of the looks using stills & video.
